It doesn't matter how long you have been mastering your sport, there is always something to learn and a new personal best to tackle. As a runner and cyclist, I have had my successes, accomplishments, and been stuck on the sidelines with injuries.
It is interesting as an athlete with two chronic illnesses – how even the little wins can mean a lot. Read my stores, blog posts hit and tips, and more about what I have learned about my sports, about myself, and how I do not let my invisible illnesses define me or chronic illness hold me back. If nothing else, battling Crohn's Disease and insulin-dependent Type 2 Diabetes on a daily basis puts an interesting spin on one's perspective.
Enjoy reading about my journey and hopefully you too feel inspired
